WHAT ARE DUCTLESS MINI SPLIT AC AND HEATING SYSTEMS?
Ductless mini split heating and AC systems have been around for a very long time. They utilize individual room units to provide both heating and cooling. Each wall–mounted air handler is connected to a main, outdoor compressor unit by refrigerant tubes and electrical wires. The individual indoor units circulate the air in each of the rooms, adding or removing heat as necessary.

Because of their unique design, ductless mini split have a number of very attractive benefits. First, each individual unit can be adjusted to its own particular temperature. This allows you to take advantage of a built–in zone control, which means that you don’t have to waste energy heating or cooling parts of the home that are unoccupied. Another benefit of ductless systems is that they avoid the energy loss associated with duct work. The air in your home doesn’t have to travel through duct work where it can lose energy.
